Madi's 2D Design

      In this project I had struggles coming up with designs to fill my grids. Once I chose my image for the center the designs started to come to me. I used several designs throughout my project as well as reusing some others. Overall I really enjoyed this project as a whole and had a fun time coming up with designs to fit my image. 

      In this photo I placed the photo into illustrator and separated the colors from the original photo into three different colors for the hole photo. After that I put o color separated photo into photoshop and created different layers for each of the three colors. I then chose the three colors for each layer and printed the photo off. 

    In this edit I did a forest picture and the other half is a desert. I did this because I thought it would be cool to blend the two pictures together. I took the cactus and cut one in half and then blended it with a tree in the forest. In Photoshop I used the eraser tool to cut and delete half of the desert picture and then I used the blur tool to blend the desert picture into the forest picture.      In this edit I chose to do a mountain picture with a kaleidoscope background. I thought it would give a cool illusion with the center of the kaleidoscope coming out of the peak of the mountain. When creating this in Photoshop I used the quick select tool to select the background of the mountain picture an delete it to expose the kaleidoscope photo in the background.

Digital  Linear Displacement     For this linear displacement design I made it unbalanced. All of the design and line work is all on one side with little to no design on the opposite side. A couple struggles I ran into with this design was the layers and paint bucket tool on photoshop. On some of the areas when I went to color the section in it colored more than one block in at a time in some sections, therefore there is bigger black blocks or a couple white blocks in a row.
